The book of Joshua is a reminder that God keeps His promises. Since Genesis 12:1-7, the descendants of Abraham have been longing for the day when they would get the land that God promised them. And now, in Joshua, they've finished wandering. They're home. They’re becoming the nation that God has promised them that they would be. This book is meant to communicate that God has done what He said. God has kept His promise to His people.
