The narrative of King David is one of real, “earthy spirituality,” as Eugene Peterson puts it. His story is not neat and tidy, nor is his worship or obedience. Yet God’s sovereign grace is woven from beginning to long past the end of David’s story. As we look at the grand narrative of David, we will see how God’s sovereign grace is at work in our lives and throughout history.
