***** Attention Grow Workers: Grow will be meeting on Mondays, starting in October *****
The Great Commission:
Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus said, 'All power is given unto me in heaven and
in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even
unto the end of the world.' "
Description: We have 4 teams, one for every Monday night of the month, at 6:45, and we are usually through by 8:15. Everyone who is a part of GROW can pick which team they want to be on, or can be assigned to a team. Team members have a choice of what they want to do: Some go out and visit assigned families; some stay in and write letters to people who have visited in our church or have moved into the area (a sample letter is provided); sometimes team members make phone calls to prospects. There is something for everyone, and child care is provided at the church. Team Schedule: The "G" team meets the first Monday night of the month The "R" team meets the second Monday night of the month The "O" team meets the third Monday night of the month The "W" team meets the fourth Monday night of the month If we have 5 Mondaydays in the month, the 5th Monday is called "Miracle GROW" night, and people from all the teams can come. We are thinking about adding a team to go out some time other than Monday night, because there are people who work nights that can't be on a team, and likewise people we can't visit because they are at work. |
